Mystery & Horror Tales kicks off the series with some unusual and chilling tales. The film contains nine different episodes based on the novels written by seven phenomena of Japan’s literary world.

A writer is sent by his boss to investigate a strange tree known to the locals as Whispers. He remains unconvinced that it possesses mystical powers until unthinkable things begin to occur all around them.
